Mr. Sunshine has been grinning and drooling his way through gardening, homeschool prep, and major house renovations / room swaps and overhauls. What a gift his temperament has been in this frenetic season. Still no teeth, poor boy, but he's been working hard on them. All of his daytime sunshine gets plumb worn out at night, and sleep has been difficult unless he's snuggled up with Mama in bed. I'll take the snuggles, though, and the sleepy morning grins the very second he makes eye contact.
He stands, he sits up when he's placed in the position, he's been seen rolling over a couple of times. He drools and blows {very loud} raspberries and sucks on his lower lip and makes sounds that get Rundy and I laughing. He loves playing crazy tickle games with Daddy and grabbing my face and getting all twinkly because it's a funny joke. He loves his brothers and sisters and thinks food is a pretty good deal. He sometimes sings when he hears music. This month he fell asleep on me on his first fishing trip, met some new relatives at the Manwaring reunion, gnawed on his first kernel-less corn cob, and won some new friends because pretty much all he does is grin.
Life is so much sweeter for all of us with him in it.
