I agree. It was a kind of shocking distillation of my more faithful moments after a life of 33 years. Part of the shock was in how he said it, too. I'll be talking to him like he's a grown man in no time at all; both a sobering thought and an exciting one.
I hope he doesn't let go of that thought. It's a good one.
