Easter Sunday (Easter Post #3)

It was a lovely Easter. We went to Abby's house after church to share a meal, play with the cousins, find Easter baskets, and squish their ten roly-poly puppies. (The puppies stole the show).

Ready for a busy day.

Tadhg has a very tentative, distrustful relationship with living creatures and likes them best when they're asleep.

But Pip, on the other hand...

It started with just a couple, but the throngs grew.

This is the one I wanted to take home with me.

It wasn't all puppies, though. I mean, they still managed to make their way into most of the shots, but...

Eventually it was time to find Easter baskets. Tadhg was too busy playing heartily when it was his turn, so Pippin went first.

Tadhg was won over with the knowledge that the basket had candy inside, and found his in about 10 seconds flat. (I'll have to find a more challenging hiding spot next year.)

With all the innate hunter-gatherer skills of someone with Johnson genes, he (obviously) went straight for the Cadbury egg.

And promptly stuffed the entire thing in his mouth in a fashion that surprised even me. (Some of the following Cadbury Egg Fiend photos were unabashedly swiped from my sister Abigail.)

(The delicate Princess Cadence watches his barbaric feasting in disgust.)
