G.F.D. - April Showers Bring May Flowers

I remember when the violets sprouted up all over the back lawn when I was a child. I picked handfuls for Mom to put in water, convinced she saw their magic as clearly as I did. 

These ones even managed to survive today's torrent.

I love this time of year. Our plum trees are in bloom, and a pair of goldfinches are flitting from bough to bough.

The Juneberry is flowering, too, and the rhubarb will soon be ready for picking.
