G.F.D. - There and Back Again

July 20, 2018

The Adirondacks are and ever shall be one of our favorite places. It's a blurry batch of photos, but they serve their purpose. Tadhg's first time in the mountains!

We had the exact same cabin that we had for our honeymoon.

Awfully blurry, but the best I have. A man, his boy, and a fire.

Tadhg approved of our accommodations.

Morning ritual: stare at the world while waking up.

We didn't tackle any of the High Peaks this year with a baby in tow. We still managed to see some great views, though. Hike #1: Cobble Lookout.

It started raining pretty heavily on the way up... But we were prepared, Tadhg was unfazed, and it just added to the adventure.

Cloudy view from the top.

I had the best views for our hikes. Tadhg intermittently napped like a rock and took in the world with buggy eyes.

First time swimming! Our campground had a pool, and it was the perfect temperature for a baby.

We took Tadhg all the way in, and it was a bit anticlimactic. He was more impressed with his hands than the water...

A newfound taste for water bottles.

Hike #2: Bear Den Mountain.

We made it to the top! Tadhg was a champ. That's Whiteface in the distance.

Mr. Man has discovered how fun it is to touch everything.

What a trip! Hopefully as Tadhg grows he'll come to appreciate these mountains as much as Rundy and I have.
